Senator Jean de Dieu Mucyo passed away Monday while he was walking upstairs at his working place in the Parliament. His death saddened many people especially the genocide survivors who he survived for his whole life. His funerals were attended by many dignitaries including high ranking officials such as the First Lady Jeanette Kagame. Parliamentarians and cabinet members highlighted his heroic deeds as someone who served the interests of the needy.
President Kagame lauded the deeds of late Senator Mucyo as someone who has shown humility and deeds of mercy to the neediest. The Head of State said that as he was receiving the oaths of the newly appointed high ranking officials namely Ministers and State secretaries.
Late Senator Mucyo was a married man with three children, three sons and a daughter.
