Early this morning the hand over ceremony between the former Minister of internal security and the current Minister of justice Johnson Busingye who will be fulfilling a big part of the duties that were formerly entrusted to the Ministry of internal security.
Hon Mussa Fazil Harerimana said that he is fully hopeful that the Minister of Justice will responsibly assume the responsibilities. The handover ceremony was attended by different officials from the prosecution, lawyer and security services.
Former Minister Mussa Fazil Harerimana told reporters that he is currently ready to become a Rwandan citizen who serves the interests of the nation as this is a duty to each patriotic Rwandan.
At his side, Minister of justice Johnston Busingye revealed that his Ministry will work harder and more professionally to fulfilling the increasing and more demanding responsibilities.
He affirms that the aim behind is to make the juridical process more reliable and trustworthy for Rwandans and other people residing in Rwanda.
Busingye warned every one who is willing to undermine the progress that Rwanda has made in different areas of its democracy including in justice matters.
He therefore called all Rwandans to join efforts to fight back all who attempt to tarnish the Rwandan image in all of its facets.
Before the recent changes in the Ministry of internal security, the Ministry of justice had 1170 workers but this number increased to 2000. All the former workers in the Ministry of internal security are employed elsewhere.
