The Rwandan Minister of defense Gen James Kabarebe welcomed the participants in the EAC military football championship launched in Kigali this Monday, August, 08, 2016.

He thanked the referees, players and coaches who managed to attend the games, wishing them a warm and safe stay in Rwanda.

Different artists including Tom Close, Urban Boys group and comedian Arthur thrilled the gathering in the Amahoro Stadium.

The EAC military games take place at its 10^th time and are attended by countries such as Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, DRC and Kenya, apart from Burundi that confirmed its absence.

Min Kabarebe told 500 people who attended the inaugural ceremony that Rwanda is glade to host them throughout the time the games will be taking place in Kigali.

The EAC military games will be held for two weeks and it will include Football, Netball, Handball and Basketball.

The entrances are free of charge and all people are invited.
