Gicumbi –This Week-end, a group of young people visited the historical site known as Ku Murindi w’Intwali.
At the site are shown different indicators of how the liberation war which rescued the Tutsis during the genocide was carried out.
The youth was delighted to observe all the areas in which the liberation activities took place, areas that show the courage of the former APR forces who liberated Rwanda and rescued the survivors.
The young men expressed their commitment to imitate the example shown by the liberators.
Mugabo Philemon has shown to the delegation the place where the army chief commander Paul Kagame was hiding during the war of liberation at Mulindi.
The Umulindi w’intwali will be set as one of the National museums as agreed upon by President Kagame in 2012 when he visited the site.
The representative of the “Rwanda Youth Volunteers Organization” told media that the association of young volontieers aims at fostering the economic development through different activities of common interests.
Niwemutoni Denise who heads the association of university female students urged her fellow to promote the spirit of patriotism so to imitate the heroes who liberated the country.
