Green Party finally registered

Friday, The Green party, a political party that strives for democratic change and environment protection has been registered as one of the political parties legally recognized as such in Rwanda. It is the eleventh political party operating in Rwanda.

Bizimana Jean Claude told journalists that the registration his party is good news that they have been waiting for very long time ago.

According to Bizimana the party will not have chances to present its candidates in the coming legislative elections.

Prof Shyaka said the party registers relatively late as the RGB received the request on 26,July ,2013.Despite this, it was not too late for the party to receive the permission once the party fulfills all legal steps to register.

After handling the permission tot the party,Prof Shyaka  reminded party officials that according to the National constitution ,no political [arty is allowed to practice or advocate for any discriminatory ideals that can bring upon divisions among Rwandans.

Mr Bizimana Jean Claude underlined that his party does not target divisive philosophy or practice. He urged RGB to give them enough time to prepare for the upcoming elections as they receive the registration permit too late.

Bizimana stressed  the fact that the mission number of the party lays on the protection of the environment,so that their duties are to look for policies that will help them to achieve their goals.
