Both Presidents met in Kampala during an ICGLR meeting.The meeting between both Heads of States was organised by the Ugandan President Kaguta Museveni.
Even if the topics discussed between both Presidents remain confidential but it is mostly likely that bilateral diplomatic crisis was among the headlines.
This crisis raised after President Kikwete urged Rwanda to initiate peace talks with the FDLR rebels among whom many are the 1994 Genocide perpetrators.
Rwandan senior authorities were angered with the Kikwete’s speech.
Ugandan President Museveni intends to restore the peaceful relations between both neighboring countries.
