President Paul Kagame attends a regional Summit of Heads of States being part of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region(ICGLR) scheduled to start today in Luanda, Angola.
This Summit will focus on the current fragile peace situations prevailing in S.Sudan, CAR and in DRC.
The summit will also assess the effectiveness of the Addis Abeba Conference resolutions as to find out at which extent the resolutions are being applied so to end the DRC’ crisis.
Lambert Mende, DRC’s Minister of communication told BBC that the Addis Abeba Conference resolutions have to be revisited during the Luanda ‘Summit especially because of the news DRC has that the M23 elements are preparing to restart the war against the DRC, Mende told BBC.
He said that these information are provided by UN’ intelligence in services in DRC to the DRC government.
The ICGLR is made up by countries that follow: Burundi, DRC, Angola, CAR, The Republic of Congo, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Sudan, S.Sudan, Tanzania and Zambia. It is also planned that the President of South Africa Jacob Zuma will attend the Summit in Luanda.
Last ICGLR Summit was held in the Kampala, Uganda.
