It is the first golden medal that Rwanda owns since its participation in the All Africa Games. Hadi Janvier alongside his collegues landed at Kigali International airport wearing it and full of pride as the one who won the 150 Km race in the ongoing AllAfricaGames in Congo Brazzaville.
He humbly thanked his co-players due to their cooperation that enabled him to win the race.
The Rwanda cycling team won also the bronze medal in the called Team Time trial .
Aimable Bayingana who leads the Rwanda Cycling Federation (FERWACY) expressed his appreciation about the achievement and the beholding of the medal, adding that this is a motivational act that will foster the federation to invest more in its crew and win more.
