Moses Ndizeye unknowingly had bought a stolen car. The car was taken over by the Police in order to search for real owner. After longtime of search of the real owner of the car but in vain, the car was taken back to Moses to prevent him from losing his money.
As he was coming back in Rwanda after buying the car, Ndizeye was arrested by both Rwandan Police and Ugandan one as the car was stolen but Ndizeye bought unwillingly.
He said that the cost of the car was equivalent to 15 thousand USD which equals to eleven million Rwandan francs.
The Rwandan Police spokesperson ACP Celestin Twahirwa told reporters that the car was arrested due to allegations that it was stolen from the neighboring Uganda.
He underlined the collaboration Interpol police member states to search for the car and therefore arrested it.
ACP Twahirwa revealed that the reason that the car was retrieved to its buyer due to the fact the fact that real and former owner of the car was nowhere to be found.
He however urged Rwandans and all residents to be cautious before buying any kind of luxury material in illegal circumstances.
