According to the communique released by the Office of the President of the Republic of Rwanda, the former Minister of health Agnes Binagwaho is deposed from her duties.
The presidential communique does not reveal the roots of her dismissal but recently a relatively big number of high ranking officials from the Ministry of health were jailed due to the alleged involvement into public funds’ mismanagement while others resigned.
Currently malaria prevalence has increased, an issue that some take as a serious issue that might have worsened the reputation of Dr Agnes Binagwaho in as far as her medical duties are concerned.
Dr Binagwaho underwent higher education on pediatric studies and in anti HIV/AIDS studies.
During her term in the Rwandan Ministry of health, Dr Agnes Binagwaho provided remarkable efforts to reduce the number of the dead newborns and in reducing the rate of HIV/AIDS prevalence among adults.
Before being appointed as the Minister of health, Dr Agnes Binagwaho worked in Centre National pour la Lutte contre le SIDA(CNLS).
That was since 2002 up to 2008 before being appointed as the State secretary in the Ministry of Heath.
Since then up to now, she was operating as the Minister of health.
