“I can’t blame the current artists”- Mavenge Soudi

The well-known artist Mavenge Soudi told Umuseke that he cannot blame the way the current music artists perform as time has changed and the artists must follow how the world evolves.

Many of the veteran artists of his time normally criticize those current artists blaming them to imitate the foreign cultures and songs.

According to the Gakoni k’abakobwa Singer the current artists have made a significant role in promoting the music, taking into account the world’s evolution in cultural issues.

For him, current artists created the music according to the technological advancement td of the world while the former ones created the music according to the situational happenings of the epoch.

He however urged the current artists to integrate cultural components in their musical creations without harming the originality of the message they want to pass.

It is unfair to criticize the current musicians without analyzing the present situations in which they work, he said.

Mavenge has featured with the uprising rapper Lil G in the Gakoni k’abakobwa’ remix.

He also invites other artists who are willing to feature with him in either his songs or theirs, to invite him.
