Imbuto Foundation awards 30 girls for their high computer skills

Those 30 girls completed the secondary education studies from all 30 districts of Rwanda and were trained in the computer skills as to help them integrate the university studies.

The 30 selected girls were undergoing the computer training in the Tumba College of technology campus. They have been awarded by the Imbuto Foundation in order to arouse their intellectual thirsty for knowledge and success.

Diane Umurerwa from the Kayonza district completed her secondary studies in the Groupe scolaire .

She told UM– USEKE that she knew only how to switch on the computer and navigate on line .Umurerwa revealed that she has acquired a lot of knowledge thanks to the training she went through.

Among the skills she acquired include software and hardware management practices.

The Rector of the TCT, Eng Pascal Gatabazi said that education policies for a woman benefits to the whole family and the country at large.

Solange Hakiba who represented the First Lady Jeannette Kagame  in the ceremony  said the  First lady wants them to utilize their knowledge for self making and bring upon effective change in Rwanda.

Solange urged the young ladies to increase their knowledge through reading and search for more and improved knowledge.

She reminded them that knowledge without values is worthless, thus encouraging them to nurture these values.

The Imbuto Foundation   awards 30 girls selected from 30 districts of Rwanda as to encourage them in their learning courses.

Over 210 girls have been trained in the Tumba College of Technology. They include girls who underwent formal and informal education courses from different public schools.
