President Paul Kagame told his Advisory Council that industrial agriculture requires a lot of inputs to be sustainable and benefit to all Rwandans.
He said that during a high level meeting held in New York ,USA ,with his advisers.
His Excellence Paul Kagame , during his opening speech, underlined the importance of a sustainable industrial agriculture to Rwandans as it feeds up 80% of them is a strong economic pillar of economy.
Minister Ambassador Gatete Clever in charge of economic plan said that Rwandan agriculture products will reach to the international market through a newly established mechanism called ‘East African Commodities Exchange’.
This a unique Commodities Market Exchange that is meant to operate for the whole EAC member countries that started selling commodities like maize, coffee beans and tea for the economic advancement of farmers, added Minister Gatete.
Ambassador Gatete added that the advisory meeting assessed what efforts can be provided in order to increase the economic growth rate from 8% up to 11.5% by 2020.
Other issues discussed during the meeting involved how to develop infrastructures in order increase homely generated financial means.
The President’Advisory Council is composed by some of key Rwandan Ministers and foreign experts in different areas of nationallife
