Kicukiro: Today the Rwanda National Police station has arrested a IPRC student pursued to have illegally forged many stamps among which there is the one of the National Bank, and the ones of the Goma Catholic church parish.
This student accepted his criminal acts, adding that he has been involved into this misbehaviors by a certain Kayinamura Eliab operating in Nyabugogo at the time when he studied in level two in construction engineering.
Niringiyimana denies that he fabricated the BNR stamp even if he acknowledges that he normally fabricates such kind of stuffs.
The stamps he forged include the ones of as different companies as Africa Electronics Company, Eglise de Dieu du Nouveau Testament (Rwanda), Shirinyota Bar, Taxi Voiture Huye, BNR, R.E.P Ltd, Dot Rwanda, Cooperative Ibyiringiro Kigali, Rugwiza Business Co., Diocese de Goma(DR Congo) among others.
The Spokesperson of the RNP in Kigali city, Supt Modeste Mbabazi told journalists that this man might have forged as much stamps as possible because due to the fact that some of the stamps started to be used common people. The arrested one has accepted tho the Police that he fabricates such tools.
Normally, the one who fabricates such kind of stamps must have a legally accepted certificate that enables him or her to exercise such profession.
The article of the Law No 606 stipulates that all people who will be found guilty to have been involved into such illegal acts will face imprisonment that will last between three to seven years and a payment of 300,000 and 3 million Rwf.
