She said that “She Trades” can be a milestone in empowering women in different social and economic aspects of the world’s economy.
The opening ceremony was held in the Kigali Convention Center complex in Kacyiru where different dignataries were gathered including Arancha Gonzalez who is the Executive Secretary of the International Trade Centre, the British Minister of international cooperation, Mme Hon Priti Patel, and Rwandan Minister of gender and family promotion, among others.
“She Trades” is a initiative intended to promote social and economic integration of women and is hopefully aims at helping women become more economically self sustained.
First Lady Jeannette Kagame reminded the gathering that over half of people inhabiting the planet Earth are women; therefore, excluding them from certain vital activities in this world would produce negative effects.
