Early this morning a bus crashed with a motorbike that was carrying two soldiers and one of them died. The deadly accident happened in Kamashashi cell, Nyarugungu sector, near the Kanombe Military camp.
One of the eyewitnesses called Byamana Alexis told Umuseke that dead soldier was killed by the bus when he wanted to take back his hat after it befell down.
As he turned back to take it, the bus clashed with him and he died.
According to Byimana, the incident happened around 07h30 early this morning and both the bus and motorbike were heading to Remera area.
Rwanda National Police, traffic unit, informed Umuseke that the motorbike was carrying two soldiers namely Sgt Rutikanga J.Baptiste and Caporal Dieudonne Kamanzi.
Both soldiers were coming from Kanombe military base towards the Kigali International Airport.
Corporal Kamanzi passed away at the Kanombe Military hospital while he was being taken care of.
The driver of the bus Albert Kadoyi is now in custody at Kicukiro Police station for further investigations.
