Karongi District: Hateful people harmed a cow’s leg with a machete

News provided by Mubuga sector’s officials say that a soon-to be identified man seriously injured a cow’s leg and this cow belonged to a 1994 genocide survivor. According to locals the cow was harmed as it was in its house to rest.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The cow belongs to Nyombayire Joseph who is a genocide survivor and lives in Murangara cell, Mubuga Sector in Karongi district .

The incident happened Monday late night hours and the suspect is arrested, waiting to face  justice.

The exective secretary of the Mubuga sector Ntakirutimana Gaspard told Umuseke that this incident happened but the evildoer has been arrested by the Police.

After the incident, local  officials gathered with the Mubuga residents to discuss with them on how these sad and shameful activities can be avoided.

Locals affirm such activities are  characteristic of beholding genocide ideology that materialize through such activities.

While the investigation continues, all cell residents are required by administration to collect five hundred thousand to pay the price of the injured cow.
