Gahanga -The KCB workers participated into the Umuganda to help the orphans living in the UMURWA W’IMPHUHWE center at Gahanga Sector,Kicukiro District.
This event has taken place on Saturday,31,August,2013.
The UMURWA W’IMPUHWE center cares about 58 children who live there for different early childhood problems including being thrown away by their parents or due to any other serious problems they encountered.
The KCB bank has initiated the KCB Foundation that provides humanitarian aid to needy persons across Rwanda..
The aid aimed at showing to these little children that they are still worthwhile and lovely.
Buhigiro Eugene told Umuseke that the program takes place every year as last it took place at Gisimba Center.
“We chose to visit and help Gahanga center with the same aim: to help those young generations to live decently knowing that they are perspective clients of KCB in the future”, Buhigiro continues.
Sister Nyirabarima Adrienne,the Head of the Center revealed to Umuseke that ‘the majority of the children living in the center were brought up there by RNP,or by healthy centers across Kigali and we give them necessary means to live and feel loved’
“I appreciate the help provided by KCB and I urge KCB to keep on expanding its aid to all children in need.They are the hope of Rwanda” Sister Adrienne urged the KCB team.
The support included a cheque of One Million Rwandan Francs (1,000,000 Million RwF). It is also made up by 24 mattresses,a financial support to pay Mutuelle de Sante for 58 children with more other tools to help in children in their daily activities.
KCB lent a caterpillar to cultivate a 4 Hectares wide field of the Center to foster the agricultural activities of the Center.
