This man affirms he is orphan and said he had tried to approach the National Youth Council to get a support worthy Rwf  1,3 M to start up his project of selling the electricity to residents of Kabeza Cell.

After he finishes his secondary school in 2012, there were full of difficulties for him to make a living, at that time Bizimana was desperate because of the hard life he passed through since 1994 Genocide.

“Before the 1994 Genocide, I was not totally a deaf person, I used to hear a little bit due to meningitis, but during 1994 my hearing was damaged completely because of the noisy blasts of weapons “He writes down as the only way he uses to communicate to people.

With only a diploma of A2 in Information Management, Bizimana started the business of selling electricity in a friend’s pub but is still being challenged by the way or by what means he will use to improve their service delivery.

“I have received cash of Frw 1, 3 M from National Youth Council to start this business, I have many clients, but I need to change the location to avoid doing my business in a pub because this bar is very deafening and that makes the customers feel on edge” He communicates to me.

He added he will work with a bank to improve his business because he wants to expand in another level.

“I need to add other services like TIGO Cash, Mobile Money services, and help the citizens pay water bills from EWSA, this is what I am able to do in coming days” Bizimana expresses with handwriting.

Bizimana conveys that his business will grow as he has started revamping his domicile by the means he gets from that business at Gasogi, about 15 Km from Kabeza workplace.

Bizimana is now amongst young people who report regularly to the National Youth Council in the time frame of three month to show the progress of his business as it is among his duties to do it, shows challenges to receive advises from that Government body in charge Rwandan Youth.

Nishirembere Donat, Youth Entrepreneurship Officer at National Youth Council, says that Bizimana is good example for many other people in the County.

“In spite of being a young entrepreneur living with deaf disabilities, Bizimana is a role model in running a small business and making it a success; this is a pleasant illustration that can be followed by jobseekers and small business owners” Nishyirembere emphasizes.

Bizimana reveals that he will continue to move on, for him disability or handicap is not lack of ability to serve Rwanda.

He urges other young people to cope with everything by confidence and hope so as to succeed in their lives.
