The completion of this five star hotel is the most expensive and business oriented construction project Rwanda has ever made. It took three years for it to get ready for use and its first clients will be the participants of the African Union Summit to take place on Sunday, 10-17, July, 2016 .
The complex embodies three main buildings namely the Kigali Convention Hotel (KCH), Convention Center (CC) and Extension Building.
The Hotel is equipped with 292 hotel rooms and five Presidential Suit rooms where Heads of States will be resting as they will be attending high summits in Rwanda.
The hotel has one Hotel Royal Suit to host a king in case of need.
This hotel is egged shaped form aimed at hosting not less than 3500 participants with an annex of 1500 seats.
Kigali Convention Center has an Extension Building reserved as a store and has another hall able to host 5000 people.
According to our sources, the Head of State Paul Kagame will inaugurate it this Friday, on 08, July, 2016.
Over 2000 workers tirelessly worked day and night to finalize the task on time for it to host the AU Summit in Rwanda.
Those workers were from different scientific backgrounds such construction, IT backgrounds, water sanitation skills, among others.
Turkish construction experts from the SUMMA Construction Company were among the workers who accomplished the task of elaborating this construction wonder of Rwanda.
Rwanda plans to gain not less than 50million$ each year.
