News released by RFI inform that the South African Republic Ambassador in Rwanda held talks with Rwandan Minister of Foreign Affairs to discuss on the recent diplomatic crisis between both nations. This bilateral talks happen after the South African government banned the visas to Rwandans who traveled in South Africa.
The South African embassy took this decision on Monday, 10, March. The decision to suspend the visas to Rwandans travelling S.A comes in after some of the diplomatic staff in S.A were urged to leave the country accusing them to be willing to kill Gen Kayumba who fled Rwanda to S.A
Rwanda also chased six South Africans working in the Embassy, a situation that created a serious lack of services in the Embassy.
The Rwandan Minister of foreign affairs, Louise Mushikiwabo denounces the fact that the South African government hosts Rwandan dissidents responsible of criminal acts over innocent people and of treason.
In South Africa the opposition party called “Democratic Alliance (DA)” keeps its pressure to the leading politicians to explain the nationals about the recent crisis among both nations.
The coalition of opposition parties have urged the South African Minister of foreign affairs in charge, Maite Nkoana Mashabane to provide more explanations to the the Parliament in the recent developments between both nations.
