Jeanne Kayirangwa encourages girls to be motivated in entrepreneurial activities and never feel shy on vocations that people claim are reserved for boys.
Despite her good wishes to her fellow ones, the number of women and girls who involve themselves in such activities is still minor.
In Rwanda we have one girl who is a plane pilot; few are motorbike riders while she (Mukayiranga) is seemingly the only girl who is a taxi driver.
She is a native inNyanza district, South Province and has decided to create her own job as to ern more money and make her dreams come true.
She owns three driving permits namely B, C, D that she obtained since 2006.
Kayirangwa told Umuseke that she chose to work fewer hours comparatively to male counterparts who work longer hours.
For clients, it is a pleasure mixed with surprise to find how she is a skilled and advised taxi driver.
Some of the male drivers who work with her related to Umuseke that she has nurtured friendships with various drivers who become her loyal clients.
She told Umuseke that within a relative short time she will be able to buy her own car to keep her well done.
Kayirangwa revealed to Umuseke that she received training in car maintenance so that she may be able to handle small technical challenges that her car might undergo.
As she winded up her conversation with our reporter, Kayirangwa advised other girls to keep trying all the professions in which they feel more fitting, promising them that they can achieve.
