Artists from the Kina Music visited the Ntarama Genocide memorial site in order to back the survivors during the 20th Commemoration of the genocide against the Tutsi. The Ntarama Memorial Site is located in Bugesera in the Eastern Province of Rwanda.
Those artists included Tom Close, Christopher, Knowless, and Dream Boys.
The artists were shown how the killings were carried out in the neighborhood. Mugabarigira Stanley told the artists that the over 6100 innocent Tutsi were killed in a Catholic Church building and in its neighborhoods.
Ishimwe Clement the CEO of the Kina Music urged the youth to learn from the history and bring upon a positive change for a better future.
He said that the youth should be visit the memorial sites in order the see what the atrocities committed during the genocide so to avoid them from happening again.
Dr Muyombo Thomas known as Tom Close said that during the genocide human beings lost their humanity and became wilder than animals.
For him, the youth is the only hope for a better future.The Kina Music group provided to the memorial site a package of 500.000 Rwf to support the site in different activities such as rehabilitation and maintenance.
