Ms Dukuzemuremyi Chantal,the Manager of the Rwanda Appreciation Service told journalists that Kinyarwanda language, once used, can improve on quality services delivery.
She gave the example of billboards across Kigali that have English or French inscriptions. According to her this is susceptible to mislead Kinyarwanda speakers and hinder them from accessing to quality services delivery
That is why the Center she leads intends to advocate to changing the English or French inscriptions to billboards and replace them with Kinyarwanda ones.
Rwandans, regardless of the languages they speak, are the first ones to benefit from service delivery.
“Foreign languages should not hamper them from this privilege” she continued.
She told journalists that most of the time some people sign documents they do not fully understand the content and this brings them into trouble unwillingly.
For her the use of Kinyarwanda can reduce these risks.This involves the fact that services consumers also include uneducated Rwandans who deserve care and attention.
The RTUC Rector Mr Kabera Callixte told reporters that one’s language is a cornerstone that characterize his/her identity.
For him,poor service delivery brings upon huge financial loss for businesses.
RAS plans a One Week Program nicknamed Customer Week to help services deliverers and receivers learn more on what customer care means to both sides.
