JICA and MININFRA provided water sanitation to Kirehe and Rwamagana inhabitants. New and modern wells built into two districts will serve 76% of the population living in the area.
In Rwamagana (Musha –Rwinkwavu) a 70 Kilowatt electric power infrastructure is being built to serve 50% of the populalation in the coming years.
Ambasodor of Japan in Rwanda Kazuya Ogawa alongside Minister Rwakabamba Silas of MININFRA were present at the event to inaugurate these new facilities.
Amb Kazuya said that Rwanda is a country that stirives to provide adequate and lasting infrastructures for its population.
“Japan is committed to back Rwanda in its development efforts” said Mr Kazuya
Minister Rwakabamba Silas urged the population of both districts to utilize these infrastructures in developmental activities.
One of local inhabitants Mr Nzagiriza Gervais joyfully thanks all partners to have brought clean water in their districts.
Mr Murayire Protais Mayor of Kirehe District commended the Japanese cooperation with Rwanda to help Rwandans have both water and electric power facilities as in the area was lacking such healthy infrastructures.
