As one of the members of the advisory committee of the Kirehe district has confirmed to UM– USEKE that the Mayor Murayire Protais has resigned due to recent outbreak according which he did not collaborate effectively with locals and have denied them to express their concerns to the Minister of Local government Kaboneka Francis when he recently made an official visit in the district .
The official told the UM– USEKE reporter that the advisory committee has approved this resignation letter to the post of Mayor of the District and he therefore is no longer member of the advisory committee as well.
Murayire Protais has been the Mayor of Kirehe for six years long. Kirehe district has been ranked number five in the fulfillment of the Imihigo performance contract in the recent assessment presented in front of the Head of state.
Meanwhile, the management of the District in the arms of the Vice Mayor in charge of finance Mr Jean de Dieu Tihabyona.
