Late Vestine was buried by ‘a big and caring family’

She was hospitalized in Kibagabaga hospital where she was enduring the severe waist defection that ended up by killing her. Vestine Mukamana who was 27 years old was a mother of one daughter who is currently adopted by a caring family.

Since her return to Rwanda from Tanzania where she lived an ‘illegal refugee’, she was taken care of by Rwandan authorities in a refugee transit camp before being given a house to live in as this has been done to the rest of the returnees from Tanzania.

Later on, she suffered from the waist defection that weakened her and put her life in danger. In CHUK hospital where she was primarily hospitalized, her six years old daughter was the only one who took care of her dying mother.

Mukamana Vestine who didn’t have any family members to assist her throughout her struggle, was mediatized as to call upon the general public for her assistance.

Since Umuseke made the issue widely known, well hearted people came into her help through providing funds to pay medical prescriptions including dialysis sessions.

Her life deteriorated since then and medical staff from Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Kigali (CHUK) decided to transfer her to Kibagabaga hospital where she passed away on Monday.

At her burial, around 200 people came to assist each other.

This wholeheartedness that people have shown indicated the good side of human beings to cater for the needy people in the time of distress.
