Last week, UM– USEKE had the information according which the British Lee Johnson was in talks with the FERWAFA as to select him as the Technical Staff Manager of the FERWAFA.
The talks proved successful Lee has been naminated as the Chief Technical staff of the FERWAFA. He held an interview with media yesterday and he expressed his commitment to foster the progress of the Football in Rwanda through his experience as the former coach of the Chelsea junior club and the Christal Palace team, both from UK.
The spokesperson of the FERWAFA, Bonny Mugabe said that among the duties entrusted to Lee include a selection of the talented young football players to train nationwide.
The British coach will also share his intense experience with other coaches as to help the increase their skills, Mugabeadded.
Lee Johnson will be coaching the U17 Rwandan team that is soon to play with the Ugandan squad in a match that will take place in Kigali.
The working contract between Lee and FERWAFA will last for two years and he ( Lee) will be assisted by Aloys Kanamugire, who is a veteran coach in Rwandan football world.
