Liberation Day: President Kagame urges Rwandans to strive for economic independence

As he was addressing the crowd of Bugesera residents during the celebration of the liberation day, President Kagame said that liberation involves the spirit of development that should be nurtured by every Rwandan. He added that no Rwandan should consider the development as a miracle but a must.

President Kagame said that after inaugurating a modern village located in Bugesera district, in Mbuganzeri cell where over 104 families were handled with  new houses to live in.

Those families were living in Mazane and Sharita isolated islands. The new houses are equipped with necessary facilities such as electricity, modern latrines, chickens and more.

The Rwanda Defense Forces were the ones who built such houses in the spirit of helping  citizens  acquire adequate living means.

In his speech, The Head of State said that development  is a necessity for every Rwandan who feels proud of his/her nation and should not be considered as a miracle as one of the locals who spoke on behalf of  the beneficiaries said.

For the Head of State, technology, electricity and modern agriculture practices should be part of every Rwandan’s belongings, it shouldn’t be seen as a miracle.

He thanked  the organizers of the event to have chosen the Rweru Sector as a place where the Liberation Day should be celebrated.

Even though there is a long  way to maximize the development Rwandans deserve, President Kagame reminded his audience that commitment towards the achievement of that goal will help a lot.

President Kagame said that security is a pillar for any sustainable development.

The Head of Stat said that none is entitled to define the destiny of Rwandans and Africans at large as they are the ones who are concerned with their own future.

The Mayor of Bugesera district said a recent research revealed that within six past years, Bugesera residents improved their livelihoods at a remarkable  and pleasing level.
