Mayor Ndayisaba denounces parents who use children to beg

During a National Dialogue of Children that takes place in Kigali Serena Hotel, The Mayor of Kigali Mr denounced parents who bring their children in the Kigali to beg and gain money. Mayor f the Kigali City Ndayisaba Fidele said it is  unfair for parents who use their children to beg on their behalf in streets of Kigali. 

Among other issues that threaten the security of Kigali city inhabitants including children involve drug dealers and consumers.

He denounced the fact that some parents force their children to drop out the school while they are still young and send them to beg in streets.

Mayor Ndayisaba urged all Kigali inhabitants to refuse to give any coin of money to a parent who begs with a child because he said, this affects  and encourages the child to beg, a behavior that negatively affects children in their future.

He reminds all nightclubs owners to be careful so to hinder minors from entering night clubs without a parent.

Mayor of Kigali City appreciated the initiative of the children who took the lead to present the youth in this National Dialogue of children, adding this shows  the level of  patriotism.

The National Dialogue  of children takes place at an yearly basis. It intends to help children reflect on the challenges they encounter and try to suggest relevant solutions to improve the living conditions of the children.
