Yesterday at the Nemba Hospital, 60 medical auxiliaries celebrated the international day set up by the WHO to honor the efforts they provide in the medical profession.
In addition to this, all medical auxiliaries present at the ceremony were encouraged to provide more efforts as to make the profession more effective.
Medical auxiliaries are the big part of the Nemba hospital staff and consequently are the milestones of the functioning of the Hospital, according to the Dr Munyaruguru Faustin who manages the hospital.
Dr Munyaruguru urged the medical auxiliaries to keep providing efforts to as to serve the patients in the hospital.
One of the medical auxiliaries Nicholata Mukashimo appreciated that the International community has set up an international day on their behalf.
She thanked the officials from the Nemba hospital to have taken time ti discuss with them and hear their concerns.
The legal representative of the national umbrella of medical auxiliaries in Rwanda (RNMU) Andrew Gitembagara urged his colleagues to be very active and exercise their profession as fully and committed as possible.
For him, this is what it requires to be professional as a medical practitioner.
The International day for medical auxiliaries has been launched by an Italian medical auxiliary named Florence Nightingale and she is the one who inaugurated the modern new era in the medical sphere, namely the medical auxiliary section.
