During a memorial event on behalf of late PM Zenawi of Ethiopia,Rwandan Minister of Foreign Affairs Mushikiwabo Louise told the assembly gathered at Addis Abeba that Mr Zenawi was an African Hero.
For Mushikiwabo,Zenawi’s political experience benefited to both Ethiopians and to the all Africans.
She was representing the President Paul Kagame in the ceremony.
Rwandan Embassy in Ethiopia released an announcement in which Mushikiwabo recognized the changes Meres Zenawi’ activities have brought to the well being of Ethiopians in a relatively small period.
Mushikiwabo urged all Africans to increase efforts to foster the Zenawi philosophy of self reliance and develop Africa continent.
Different eminent dignitaries attended the memorial event of the death of Mr Meres Zenawi among whom were the current Ethiopian PM Mr Hailemariam Desalegn, Sudanese President Omar el Bashir, Gjibouti President Ismael Guelleh ,Somali President Hassan Sheikh Muhamud,Ugandan Vice President Ssekandi,Kenyan and South Sudan delegations.
Meres Zenawi passed away on 20 August, 2012 in Belgium due to serious sickness .He ruled over Ethiopia since 1995 up to 2012.
