Regarding to Rwandan diplomatic lines, she said that all of its activities aim at benefiting to Rwandan interests.

Min Mushikiwabo finds that former colonialists keep trying to dictate how policies should be made in their respective former colonies in the region and this interferes with national sovereignty of each nation.

The diverging political lines of each nation in the region generates a conflict  situation where each nation strives to make its political priorities prevail to others.

Min Mushikiwabo said the threat that FDLR poses to Rwanda is not wary or weaponry but ideological.

The fact that FDLR keeps spreading its genocidal ideology puts the security of the region and of Rwanda particularly at risk.

She advocates for the dismantle of the FDLR as a negative force so that the region may be free of its destabilizing effects due to its genocide ideology.

At the other side, Minister Mushikiwabo lauded the efforts carried out by Rwandan government and the UN agency in charge of refugees to have repatriated refugees who fled FDLR.

Talking to the existing diplomatic relations between Rwanda and DR Congo, she said that the situation has improved and hopes it will remain the same in the future.
