The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Dr Celestin Ntivuguruzwa told reporters that the Ministry has been allocated with 29 billion Rwandan Francs to be invested in vocational schools as to boost the economy via the strengthening of this sector of national education.
He said that during an interview he delivered to media after inaugurating the Itorero campaign that comprises students from secondary schools who will be entering the universities in the coming academic year.
This Itorero labeled Intagamburuzwa that started its civic training at the National Stadium this Monday is composed of 2 500 students from all public schools countrywide.
They will be receiving civic education package including values and norms that historically have characterized Rwandans.
The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education Dr Celestin Ntivuguruzwa said that Rwandan government aims at equipping its youth to relevant skills to use in vocational fields.
These vocational fields are meant to boost the economy as it helps its practitioners earn money in an easy and practical way.
Some of the students who spoke to Umuseke underlined their willingness to undergo these skills as it is hopefully helpful in getting solutions to social and economic challenges Rwandans undergo.
