The Ministry of health has acquired 172 million Rwf from the Liquid Telecom, a telecommunication NGO. This package is reserved for the joint activities aimed at the fight of the Ebola in Rwanda.
Dr Binagwaho Agnes in charge of health tanked the provision of this financial package considering it as an exemplary contribution to the already initiated actions against the deadly Ebola.
She lauded the initiative taken by a telecommunication agency to contribute to the prevention of Ebola even though the disease is not yet declared in Rwanda.
The Ministry of health in collaboration with other ministries has set up strong mechanisms aimed at checking all international travelers who reach Kigali International Airport so to avoid the appearance of any suspect case that might reveal itself as real Ebola case.
The CEO of the Liquid Telecom revealed the necessity to prevent rather than curing, and that very reason motivated them to contribute to all efforts deployed to preventing Ebola from happening.
