Miss Jolly urges young people in Iwawa rehabilitation centre to be good citizens

She is in Rutsiro District to visit the Iwawa rehabilitation centre where the former drug users are getting rehabilitated.

The Rwandan Beauty Queen 2016 urged the young people there to learn and acquire positive attitudes that will help them become effective citizens once back home in their respective families .

For her the center is a good opportunity for them to change for the better and contribute to the social and economic development that Rwanda undergoes.

The cemter hosts 2 949 young people who came  from across the country to acquire norms and values that characterize Rwandans to become effective citizens.

The manager of the rehabilitation centre told the gathering mainly composed of young people on Iwawa that advises Miss Jolly has provided are of great importance both for them as individuals and for the whole nation as well.

Nzabamwita Nicolas thanked her for her initiative, urging her to advocate for the needs for such young people.

For hi, the issue of drug use should not be dealt only  by government related bodies but also by family members and parents at the first stance.

Government should be a helper not an initiator, he underlined.

The center is currently hosting between 18 and 35 children who formerly were involved into harmful and degrading behaviors such as drug use.
