Miss Rwanda, Colombe Akiwacu is back in the country after a successful tour of Europe. On 27th August, Akiwacu left for a two weeks tour of France and Spain starting with a visit to UNHYCOS industries, the makers of OE cosmetics located in Paris.
The tour started on a good note as the company requested Colombe to be their brand ambassador in Rwanda through Simba Supermarket.
The beauty queen also visited Rwanda’s Ambassador to France, Jaques Kabale. The Ambassador urged her to continue with the good work and to cultivate many networks of people to help her continue doing good work for the country.
On the same day, she met the organiser of Miss France, Sylvie Tellier and they talked about Rwanda and about the activities of Miss France. Tellier tipped Miss Rwanda’s manager on best management practices and shared with him her experience.
Miss Rwanda headed to Spain on September 1 where she visited Babaria cosmetics industries in Valencia. She was taken on a guided tour of the company before she was asked to help increase their market presence in Rwanda.
From September 2-4, Miss Rwanda was in Barcelona where she was trained in professional facial application at renowned cosmetics company Bruno Vassari. At the end of the training, she was awarded a certificate. She was also asked to be their brand ambassador in Rwanda through Simba Supermarket.
She ended her European tour by meeting Miss France, Flora Coquerel and the two shared ideas on how they can work together on some projects. Colombe also met with the first runner – up of Miss Africa Union, Yassouf Maimouna and explained to her how projects such as Mutuelle de Santé, One Laptop Per Child, Education for All, Toursim and Gender quality have improved the lives of Rwandans.
