The King of Morocco Mohammed VI has emphasized the need to create more links between vocational training programs and general education courses in order to improve outcomes for citizens especially youth.
He made the remarks while presiding over the opening of the first session of the third legislative year of the tenth legislature, at the weekend.
He noted that vocational training is a powerful lever for employment provided it receives the attention it deserves.
The King also called on members of the two chambers of Parliament, to actively take part in the reform dynamics of the kingdom.
He emphasized that the promotion of youth employment remains his major concern.
He said there is need to “build on what has been accomplished in the agricultural sector and create more employment and income-generating opportunities, especially for youths in rural areas.”
