As he attended the 24 commemoration of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsis, the AU Commission President Moussa Faki said that remembering it calls upon the international community the necessity of admitting that it abandoned Rwanda when it needed it most.
It was on Saturday, April, 07, 2018 that the African Union officials joined the Rwandans and the world in remembering the 1994 genocide against the Tutsis.

Unity was the driving force for this positive change, he said.
