This afternoon the Mozambican President Philip Nyusi was welcomed at the Kigali International Airport by H.E Paul Kagame. Mr Nyusi will conduct a three days visit to Rwanda where bilateral discussions with Rwandan officials will include the strengthening of the economic ties, among other important issues.
In 2008 he became the Minister of Defense of Mozambique succeeding Tobias Joaquim Dai.
In September 2012, Nyusi was elected to the Central Committee of Frelimo, the ruling party, at its 10th congress, before being elected as the 4th President of Mozambique on 15 January 2015.
In his itinerary the Mozambican President Nyusi will visit the Kigali Memorial center at Gisozi, Gasabo district.
He will also visit the Kigali Industrial Zone located in Masoro, the ICT Hub located in Telecom House, Kakiru, and the National Miseum in Nyanza district, South Province.
President Nyusi will also visit the One stop Boarder Post and La Corniche border between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Before concluding his official visit, President Nyusi will hold a closed door dialogue with his counterpart Paul Kagame before holidng a joint press conference with President Kagame.
