This newborn Uwase Muligande Chris was hospitalized at Kabyayi University hospital after being poisoned two week ago by people who wanted him to die. The suspects are currently jailed in Muhanga Prison for further investigation.
The innocent baby was given a highly concentrated poison called Kioda to kill him. Her grand mother Edissa Ibyiyingoma told to the Umuseke reporter that the reason for the poisoning of the baby was that the mother of the baby was made pregnant by a person called Muligande Patrick who did not want to let everyone know the father of the baby.
After finding out the degree of his deeds, Muligande asked for a deployment from Musanze from his superiors and he was deployed to Muhanga.
Meanwhile he has begged the pregnant teenage to not reveal to the public the real father of the baby.
After the womb was mature enough, the teenage felt painful and went to the hospital to be taken care of.
At the Hospital Muligande visited pregnant teenage but did not enter the hospital but gave her money while standing at the gate.
The teenage recieved medical care until she gave birth to a relative healthy baby. she want home and Muligande accepted that to be the real father of the inborn.
He urged the grand mother of the inborn to keep the information as a secret, promising her to provide needed help.
But afterwards Muligande stopped providing the financial support that he provided through a lady called Annonciata.
The grandmother of the inborn left him at Annonciata’s home and she went to cultivate, but after a while the later came and told Edissa that the baby was suffering a lot.
After finding out the critical state of the baby they brought him at Hospital and medical staff diagnostically found that the baby has drunk a poison called Kioda, that normally kills bugs that attack cows.
The medical staff provided every help they could but yesterday the baby passed away in the Kabgayi university hospital.
The suspects, namely Annonciata and Muligande are jailed for further trial. The grandmother of the died inborn told UM– USEKE that the baby might have been killed by both Muligande and Annonciate who wanted to remove the baby and therefore stop the support Miligande was morally obliged to provide to the baby.
