The Ministry of disaster management and refugee affairs intends to relocate people who have been victims of recent floods and other weather related calamities into new and decent houses worthy of seven million Rwandan Francs. This move will help 200 families from Nyabihu district to live comfortably and decently.
The RV3CBA project initiated by MIDIMAR built a village called “ Green Model Village” that comprises of 200 new houses located in Mukamira sector but that will host families from Gashaki, Mukamira, Jenda and Kintobo sectors.
The Green model village is an exemplary one that will host people already enlisted at the district level.
This village is equipped with all necessary means to help inhabitants live in a healthy way. These include water sanitation and canalization facilities, biogas installations, kindergarten and primary schools, a market, health center, among others.
It comprises of many houses that have elementary decent facilities for the inhabitants.
The RV3CBA project will provide to each individual family with a cow as to help its members feed healthy, especially children.
Each house will be worth of seven million Rwandan francs.
