Last Friday two Rwandan Genocide suspects had appeared to court in La Hague to ask the court to dismiss its decision to extradite them to Rwanda.
Hutu Jean Claude Iyamuremye and Jean Baptiste Mugimba are suspected to have formally been participated in the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi.
Both are believed to have killed Tutsis in that period.
The Netherlands’ justice system has formerly decided to extradite them to Rwanda but the concerned ones claim that Rwanda will not provide a fair treatment.
The lawyer of Iyamuremye named Bart Stapert underlined that Rwanda can’t provide balanced juridical treatment to someone suspected of having committed the genocide.
The court has to rule over the suspects’ claims not later than two weeks ahead.
