Nkuriyingoma Donat from the Buriba cell in Rukira Secotorm Ngoma district, Easter Province was killed by a tire that burst while he was adjusting it. The tire has seriously injured other six co-workers.
The dead person was welding a metal that t links the tire to the car. As he put the air in the air chamber of the tire, the air pushed the metal that knocked down the head of Nkurikiyingoma and it was fragmented.
His six co- workers were seriously injured by the hot air that came out of the tire.
Both the killed person and the injured ones were brought to Kibungo hospital where the injured are being taken care of.
Dr Francois Xavier Uwimana in charge of intensive care in the hospital has told UM– USEKE that the injured ones will recover in the coming days.
However two of the injured ones were sent to the CHUK (Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Kigali) where they receive more intensive medical care as they have been seriously injured.
UM– USEKE has tried to talk to the traffic police about this unusual accident about we did not manage to reach them.
The injured ones include Sibomana Boniface, Uwizeye Jacob, Muragijimana J. Bosco, Niyonzima Scandard, Nsengiyaremye Jean and Niyonsenga Joas.
