East Province of Rwanda – Our sources report that a health care center worker has been shot dead yesterday. The deadly incident happened in Nyange Health center located in Mugesera sector, Ngoma district. The shooter is still to be identified as more investigation fro the Police are ongoing.
The Executive secretary of the Mugesera sector Jean Damascene Bizumuremyi told Umuseke that the dead worker was named Christian Maniriho and worked in the laboratory of the health care center.
News reveal that the dead was shot when he was taking a drink with his co-workers in a commercial center of Nyange, in Mugesera sector.
IP Emmanuel Kayigi who is the Rwanda National Police spokesperson in the Eastern Province narrates that RNP is conducting full investigation on the issue, adding that more are to be uncovered on the roots of the killing of the lab worker.
He said that security organs and Mugesera dwellers convened for an emergency meeting as to assess the situation, join efforts and information so that the suspects might be arrested and brought to justice.
