They said that they spent three months without being paid their salaries and this situation impacted on their lives as some of them have families to cater for.

As they started striking, the Rwanda National Police advised them to stop the strike as it is unlawful, according to the Police.

Both the Police and sector officials took the lead in advising them about stopping such unlawful activities

Residents who participated into such strikes have been working for a project linked to the Ministry of Agriculture labeled RSSPLWH and they are accusing its managers to have withheld their salaries for longtime.

Managers of the RSSPLWH say that the delay of the salaries belonging to strikers resulted from the fact that the transfer was wrongly done.

However,  the situation is being readjusted for the workers to receive their respective salaries and this will be done not later than this Thursday, 19, May, 2016.
