No Rwandan should be a refugee –says Azam Saber

The former UNHCR boss in Rwanda Azam Saber affirms that Rwanda is a secured nation that every Rwandan should live in. He calls all Rwandans who still lives in the exile as refugees to be back home as their nation keeps growing economically stronger.

Azam Saber who completed his services in Rwanda as the UNHCR boss told journalists that he will be missing the lovely Rwanda but promised that he will make several tourist visits to Rwanda.

He added that throughout his service, he observed that Rwandan leadership is one of the most effective as it seeks to solve its social and economic challenges using the most effective tools it has.

Saber said that Rwanda has performed better in hosting and taking care of the Burundian refugees in 2015 one year after his entry into service.

Some of the initiatives from Rwandan government that Azam Saber lauds include that establishment of secondary schools in Kiziba refugee camp, in Western Province.

This has given refugees remarkable chances to undergo secondary and high education as to help them acquire adequate knowledge for them to live better, Azam Saber affirmed.

Another positive endeavor that Azam Saber has lauded includes the fact that there are many business owners who trained refugees living in different camps about how they can create sustainable businesses.

He ended by affirming that Rwanda deserves to be called ‘the only African nation that has effectively hosted refugees’.
