Her name became famous after she survived the gunfire shot by Taliban militants who wanted to silent her from advocating for girl education. Malala Yousafzai, who recently won the Nobel Prize of Peace, will be in Rwanda to visit centres where girls are acquiring education and in refugee camps.
Malala who is 19 years old has advocated for the rights of girls since she was a school girl in her native village of Swat, Pakistan.
From then, she kept delivering public speeches on behalf of her fellow girls who were enduring discrimination in education sector.
This caused her to be hated and fought back by Taliban militants who wanted to silence her but she kept her courage until she was shot but survived after falling in coma.
Today’ date 12, July is a ‘Malala Day’ at the international scene as to celebrate her courage despite her young age.
Malala Yousafzai is the youngest person to have won the Nobel Prize in 2014 since its inception.
