The incident happened in Gakenke district, Busengo sector where a man called Rwajentakeka is said to have stoned his wife to death after quarreling as both neighbors and Police have reported.
Police says that the man who is allegedly said to have killed his wife has been arrested for further juridical procedures.
Triphonia Mukarubayiza the wife who was 60 years old quarreled with her husband early this morning and the later stood up, took stones and killed his wife after beating her in the head.
Neighbors who intervened found the wife in a deplorable way after which she succumbed.
Before her death she was taken to hospital but she passed away at her arrival at hospital
The Police Spokesperson in the Northern Province, IP Innocent Gasasira told Umuseke that the spouses were living in harsh mood where quarrels happened frequently.
These disputes were land related as Police reported.
Rwanda National Police kept warning spouses to avoid tense disputes that are likely to generate deadly fights as there are increased risks for them to take people’s lives away.
The body of the deceased woman was taken to the Nemba Hospital while Rwajentakeka is jailed at Cyabingo Police station.
