Due to humane activities including cultivating  make the soil more fragile so to facilitate he soil erosion to happen. This has a negative impact on the agriculture productions as the fertile part of the  soil  sinks in the river, making it dirty and leaving the rest of it poorer than before.

This deplorable state of the important river should awaken people’s minds about the emergency of safeguarding the  soil.

This will be achieved through avoiding risky agriculture and animal breeding activities that erode soil and leave it exposed to easy devastation.

Every year there are tons of fertile soil that sink in the Nyabarongo, Akagera, Victoria river and flow until the Nile river, thus taking out the rich soil that Rwandans need to grow the crops.

Well planned agriculture activities  will be of a great importance to avoid this from happening.
